We'll also list off some of the new albums arriving in stores today.* * *John Mayer has added another run of dates to his upcoming summer tour, which coincides with the release of a new live CD and DVD collection.Colbie Caillat and Brett Dennen will join him on the first leg, which runs from early July through early August, while Paramore and OneRepublic will rotate through the opening slot during the newly announced second leg, which launches in mid-August and currently stretches through the end of that month.* * *Ashlee Simpson [ tickets ], who late last week announced plans for a summer tour that was scheduled to kick off later this month, has called off the outing. The newylwed and with-child singer, in a message posted at her official website, said she was postponing her tour plans so that she could "put on an amazing show" when she ultimately does hit the road.* * *Rock-and-roll pioneer Bo Diddley, whose distinctive guitar style informed generations of performers who followed in his footsteps, died early Monday. He was 79. Diddley, who for months had suffered from poor health, died of heart failure in his Archer, FL, home. Last year, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer had suffered a heart attack and a stroke that affected his ability to speak. * * *Patti LaBelle will stay busy this summer with a handful North American tour dates and a long-awaited reunion with her R&B trio, LaBelle. So far, the Grammy-winning soul diva has mapped a loose-knit itinerary that features dates scattered from late June through mid-December.* * * New albums hitting the street today include Weezer [ tickets ]'s red album, Disturbed's "Indestructible," Jewel's "Perfectly Clear," Aimee Mann's "Smilers" and Poison frontman Bret Michaels' "Rock My World."
